Big batch of John Simm icons coming soon. The previous batch from Once were a learning experience for me in terms of using textures and brushes. I'm starting to get the hang of it more, but I think you can definitely see improvement from the first Once icon to the last Simm image in the upcoming batch.

Point is, I started this journal to share icons, but I'm not a master at graphics. I'm learning and I'm trying to get better, so please feel free to post any constructive criticism on any icon posts. Lord knows I can use it.

As for tools, I use Gimp and a Wacom/mouse (depending on my mood), so if you have any technical tips or tricks you use in Gimp, let me know!

Beware the Oncoming List of Resources and Credit! Not listed in any particular order or even alphabetically, though most texture and brush resources can be found at the icon_extras community, which is made of win and awesome.

Cut for length. I don't have the time or the technical know-how to make my own brushes/textures, so I stand on the shoulders of whatever willing giants I can find. :)

Caps usually come from a website, though I do my own occasionally.
